So if you’re lookin’ for a place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, to breathe in some fresh desert air and feel the sun on your face, then come on down to Star Dune Ranch. Howdy! The first thing you’ll likely notice when you arrive at Star Dune Ranch is the parking area. It’s huge. Enough room to circle the wagons and then some—no really, you could easily park a couple of tour busses and still have plenty of room for roadies cars. The second thing is the spacious shade area with sunshades, chaise lounges and a refreshing cold water cowboy pool that makes the ranch comfortable throughout the year.
And finally are the mountain view’s and the mini-Pioneer Town. We strongly encourage you to day trip your way over to Pioneer Town but after a day of long hiking, off roading or shopping sometimes you just want to head back to home base and relax by the fire pit with neat glass of whiskey or a cool glass of wine. That’s where the Star Dune Saloon comes in. Granted it’s a BYOB kind of place but with its ample shade area, comfy chairs and push button fire pit it’s got all the ambiance with none of the distractions… unless you get distracted by a sky full of stars!
There’s a rustic fire pit further out if you want to experience a little cowboy life. Perfect for smores or just to kick back and bask in the glow of the flames.
On hot desert nights you could plunge into the cowboy pool and star gaze into the wee hours.
When you’re ready to turn in for the night and enter the bunk house you’ll be greeted with a surprisingly ample kitchen full size fridge with filtered water and ice. Full size range for a little civilized culinary activities.
There’s a multicolor fireplace to set the perfect mood as well as some curated vinyl to play on the good old Victrola. (There’s also a big TV and 400Mbit WiFi.)
We’re all unique so the ranch is flexible. There’s room yoga on the patio out front or even inside. You can hang out all day and watch the roadrunners, desert iguanas, jack rabbits and ground squirrels scamper about.
